Foods that represent your organs..[Muslim Food Belief]

Salam.

again. another interesting article from my friend.

to make us ponder upon HIS creations....
ALLAH The Most Gracious and ALL Knower..

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye...and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this?.... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.

Grapefruits, Oranges, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like body cells. Today's research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.

note: Back in the day when my blog was still 'Food for Our Mind & Soul', there's a lot of people came from Google search by typing 'food for Muslim belief'. After doing some researches, this is what I get. Any additional information about this is most welcomed.

Which ingredients are forbidden in Islamic faith?

  • Pork, lard or any porcine substance
  • Gelatine from animal source which is not halal
  • Meat that is not slaughtered in the prescribed Islamic way
  • Meat coming from a lawful animal which died before slaughter
  • Blood (direct or indirect)
  • Any food or drink with alcohol in it (all intoxicant and hazardous drinks)
  • Any human substance or part
  • All carnivorous animals and birds of prey
What are the main laws or beliefs relating to food?

Muslim dietary practise is fundamentally about obeying Allah the Almighty by eating the allowed foods (halal) and avoiding the forbidden foods (haram) which are mentioned in the Qur’an and in the sayings of the final prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The health benefits (which are now apparent with the development of science) of the Muslim diet merely qualify the wisdom of God’s word and shed light on God’s benevolence. It is God’s commandments that are crucial; the health benefits are secondary.
Recite the name of God (Allah) before eating and thank God after finishing. It is a good thing to eat by the right hand and in company. Muslims must pronounce the name of Allah on all animals while slaughtering.
Think and contemplate in every item of food you eat by remembering God the creator the Designer, The Organiser and the Provider.
It is important to eat only when you are hungry. When you do eat, you should not eat in excess. As advised by the Prophet, one should divide his / her stomach into 3 parts - a third each for food, fluid, and respiration.
Halal pure healthy meat, chicken, fish, milk, olive oil and honey are highly recommended in Islam
Is there a link with vegetarianism?

All types of fruit and vegetable (when grown naturally and not genetically modified) are recommended to consume in Islam. Grapes, dates, figs, pomegranate, pulse and cereal are also commended. Honey and olive oil are prescribed as medicinal.
Having said all this, the Prophet said “the master of all foods is the meat” Meat is a highly nutritious diet, as doctors testify. There is no prohibition to be vegetarian in Islam, but any Muslim will come across meat on many Islamic occasions when meat is provided. For example, the sacrifice of sheep and distribution to the poor at the end of Hajj (pilgrimage). It should also be noted that it is not obligatory to eat meat in Islam.
In general, will people of this faith eat in a food outlet that serves food or drink that does not conform to their beliefs?

It is very discouraged in Islam to eat in a restaurant which serves forbidden food and alcohol or to buy anything from it. Sitting at a table where alcohol is served is forbidden too. Restaurants with smokers are to be avoided too (this is the result of a new fatwa that states smoking is haram).
read more about this here.

note2: just remember, It is important to eat only when you are hungry. When you do eat, you should not eat in excess.

Yup. i agree with you. Rasulullah reminds us to eat only when we are hungry. When we eat, should not eat in excess. That's one obvious solution to our health problems. *sigh*

    You're welcome.

Make sure you guys eat accordingly. It's true Allah will not look at your body size or physical appearances, except for taqwa. But remember, Allah prefer His servants to be strong and healthy rather than weak.
